Ophthalmic Technician
An Ophthalmic Technician must have a unique appreciation for fine detail like none other. The technician must be proficient in the art of refracting. Additionally, the technician needs to be proficient in running a wavescan, IOL master, A Scan with Immersion, Airpuff, Orbscan, and Topography. An aptitude for learning and adapting can be a good substitute for actual experience.
Refractive Counselor
The person who fills this position will have a love for the art of communication. A refractive coordinator must be comfortable presenting to any size audience and be empathetic to the needs of patients.
Full-Time Apprentice Technician
If you like the idea of a career in healthcare, training to be an ophthalmic technician might be the opportunity of a lifetime. As an apprentice, you will be trained in the anatomy and optics of the eye, and learn how refractive surgery works to correct vision. Ophthalmic Technicians are in high demand. An apprentice technician will work side by side with one of our seasoned technicians. Bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We’ll teach you skills that will keep you employed for a lifetime. Some evenings and Saturdays a must. $12-$15 per hour.
