The Nidek EC-5000

With the Nidek EC-5000, the vast majority of procedures involving myopia with astigmatism can be performed as conventional procedures; the outcomes have been outstanding due to the system's unique technological design. First introduced in the United States in December 1998, the Nidek EC-5000 has been estimated to have been used on more than 750,000 eyes nationwide. The Nidek is an excellent laser for mild nearsighted patients who have little to no astigmatism.
